For those that aren't familiar with Tifton and horses, Tifton is thicker stemmed than coastal. thicker stemmed hay is better for a horse's digestive tract than fine stemmed coastal. Most colic cases come from coastal being too fine stemmed.
if you have a horse that is insulin resistant and has foundered, I would highly suggest Tifton 85 for its sugar content as it may be a better option for you than coastal Bermuda.
